The deal, in plain words.
These are the terms you agree to when you use Tandlo. Updated 12 October 2026.
Who you are agreeing with
Tandlo is operated by The Fabrik Consultancy Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, number 15485058, with its registered office at 51 Claridge Road, Manchester M21 9WQ. Contact is hello@tandlo.app.
By creating an account or using Tandlo you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use it.
What Tandlo is
Tandlo brings family plans and school updates into one place. It reads things you give it, such as an email you forward or a photo you share, and proposes dates and tasks for you to confirm. It shows you where every suggestion came from.
Tandlo is a tool for organising, not a source of truth. It can get a date, a place or a name wrong, and it will sometimes miss something. Check anything that matters before you rely on it. Your school, your club and your own calendar remain the authority on what is actually happening. Tandlo is not a childcare, safeguarding or emergency service, and nothing in it should be treated as one.
Your account, and your children
Tandlo is for adults. You must be 18 or over to hold an account. Children do not create accounts and do not sign in.
You may add details about a child only if you are entitled to manage that child's arrangements. If you invite another adult into your family, you are telling us they are entitled to see its children, schools and school dates, and the plans and tasks shared in it. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for what happens under your account.
We can suspend or close an account that is being used to harass someone, to break the law, or to hold information about a child the account holder has no right to manage.
Paying for Tandlo
Free costs nothing, and Tandlo Family is optional. You pay only if you choose to subscribe or to buy extra AI uses in the iPhone app, and Apple charges only after you confirm.
Early access is honoured. Early access is limited to the first 150 signup places across Tandlo. Registration stays open until Tandlo is available in the App Store, or until the places fill, whichever comes first. Existing signups keep their offer. Please use one signup per family. The first 150 families who join early access before Tandlo is available in the App Store get Tandlo Family free for six months. You may claim it for 12 months after registration closes. The app shows the date your six months started and the date they end.
Tandlo Family is a monthly subscription covering your whole household, including every adult you invite. There is no per person charge and there never will be. The price is shown on the pricing page and includes VAT.
A subscription includes a number of reads each month. A read is one thing Tandlo works out for you: a forwarded email, a photo, a PDF, or an answer in Ask Tandlo. A long document uses more than one read, and Tandlo tells you how many before you confirm. Unused reads do not roll over. You can buy a top-up, and top-up reads do not expire.
Subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play are billed by Apple or Google under their terms, renew automatically until cancelled, and are cancelled and refunded through them rather than through us. Manage or cancel yours in your device's subscription settings. We will tell you before any price change and you can cancel before it takes effect.
Your right to cancel
You can cancel a subscription at any time and keep using it until the period you have paid for ends. If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU you normally have 14 days to change your mind about a digital purchase. Where you asked us to start immediately and used the service in that time, that right may be reduced or lost. Purchases made through a store are refunded under that store's policy.
What happens if you stop paying
This part matters more than the rest, so it is a promise rather than a description.
- Nothing you made is deleted, and nothing becomes unreadable. Every plan, task, calendar, child and anything Tandlo has already read stays where it is, readable and editable by hand, for as long as your account exists.
- Limits apply to new things, not to what you already have. If you were watching three schools, you keep watching three. You will not be able to add a fourth until you subscribe again.
- Other adults in your household are not cut off. They keep seeing the household, read only, for at least 60 days. They are never removed, and full access returns the moment a subscription does.
- Running out of reads stops new reading only. A conversation already in progress finishes properly. Everything you do yourself carries on working.
If a read fails and gives you nothing usable, we put it back in your allowance.
Using it properly
Do not use Tandlo to break the law, to infringe someone's rights, or to store information you have no business holding. Do not try to get around the limits on your plan, to access another household's information, or to disrupt the service for other people. Do not resell it.
Only forward or share content you are allowed to share. A school newsletter sent to you is yours to forward. A message from a private group may not be yours to pass on, and that judgement is yours to make. A photo or document you make into a plan is kept with it, and the adults in your family see it unless you keep the plan Just me.
Your content, and what we do with it
What you put into Tandlo stays yours. You give us permission to store it and process it so that we can run the service for you, and nothing more. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and your family's content is not used to train an AI model. The privacy notice explains exactly what is sent where, and why.
If you create an invitation reply link, anyone holding that link sees the details you chose to publish. You can stop replies and revoke the link, but you cannot recall what someone has already seen. Anything you export to another calendar or send to another person is a copy we cannot reach.
The Tandlo name, the app and the site belong to us. You may use the app, and that is the extent of it.
Availability, and what we are responsible for
Tandlo is in beta. It will have outages, bugs and behaviour that changes between releases. We will not always give notice before a feature changes. We provide the service with reasonable care and skill, and we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or that every suggestion it makes will be correct.
We are responsible to you for loss we cause by breaking these terms or by failing to use reasonable care, where that loss is a foreseeable result. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses, or for a missed appointment, a late pickup or a forgotten item where you relied on Tandlo instead of checking with the school or club. Where we are liable and you have paid us, our liability is limited to what you paid in the 12 months before the problem arose.
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms do not affect.
Ending it
You can stop using Tandlo whenever you like and delete your account in the app, under Settings. Deleting removes your private records as described in the privacy notice. We can close an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless we are unable to.
Changes to these terms
We will update these terms as Tandlo changes. If a change materially affects you, such as a change to what a subscription includes or to the promises above, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and you can cancel if you do not accept it. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protection of the consumer law where you live and can bring a claim in your local courts.
If something has gone wrong, email hello@tandlo.app first. Most things are quicker to fix than to argue about.
