Tandlo is a family organiser for UK parents and carers on iPhone. Keep plans, tasks, school dates and party replies together. Add a plan yourself, or bring an email, photo or PDF to Ask Tandlo and check the suggested details before saving. Plans can stay in Tandlo; exporting to another calendar is optional.
No. Tandlo is parent-led. It reads what your school already publishes, such as newsletters, term dates and notices, and organises it for your family. Schools do not sign up, install anything or gain another channel to manage. If your school is not listed, add it with a link and Tandlo will tell you what it can find.
No. You can keep your plans in Tandlo. Add a supported school or club calendar subscription to see its dates there too. If you want a separate copy of a plan in your phone's calendar, export it. A copied event does not automatically stay in sync with Tandlo. See the guide to calendar feeds and one-off imports.
Add it with a link to its website. Tandlo looks at the school's public pages, shows you what it found and what it could not reach, then keeps checking for changes. Nobody at the school is contacted and no permission is needed, because this is the same information any parent can open in a browser.
Tandlo launches in the UK on iPhone. School coverage depends on what each school publishes publicly. Check important dates against the original school notice.
No Android app is available. Tandlo launches on iPhone in the UK. There is no public web app, although guests can open invitation reply links in their browser.
Tandlo receives the emails you forward to your private Tandlo address. Approve the senders you want it to read, then check the suggested dates and tasks before saving. You can forward one email or use a selected-sender rule in your email provider. Forwarding does not give Tandlo access to your whole inbox. See how school email works.
Forwarding is the public setup route. Start with one message, then use a rule for selected school or club senders if your provider supports it. Remove the rule in your email account to stop automatic forwarding. Direct Gmail connection is not a public launch feature.
No, and we won't pretend otherwise. What you can do is share or paste a specific message, such as a party invitation or a club notice, into Tandlo, review what it understood, and save it as a plan. You choose every message that comes in. Nothing is read in the background.
To understand the content you give it (a pasted invitation, a school newsletter) and turn it into plans with dates and times. That uses Azure AI with your messages and your family's names. Tandlo shows the sources so you can check them, flags anything uncertain for review instead of guessing, and never adds or shares anything until you choose. When Tandlo has worked something out itself, it says so: "Suggested from the newsletter. Check the date."
No. What Tandlo reads for you is sent to Microsoft Azure AI to interpret and is not used to train a model of ours or anyone else's. The privacy notice sets out exactly what gets sent, when, and what Microsoft does with it.
The adults you invite into your family. They see the same children, schools and school dates, and the plans and tasks you make in Tandlo, read-only: what, when, where, which child, who is doing it, the notes and what it was made from. Keep any one to yourself with Just me. Your imported calendars, calendar links, forwarded emails and Ask Tandlo stay yours. Guests see an invitation only through the link you send, and replying never gives them access to your family. Other families never see which school or club your child goes to.
You delete your account in the app, under Settings, and it takes your private records with it: forwarded messages and their attachments, your forwarding address, your reply links and any families you created. Your sign-in identity is removed within 30 days and the app shows you a receipt when that is done. What we cannot reach back for is anything already copied out, such as events you exported to another calendar or invitation details a guest has received.

Yes. The other parent can join your family in Tandlo with an invitation code. You both see the same children, schools and school dates, and each other's plans, read-only; keep any one to yourself with Just me. Invitations are shared too: you can both see and change the invitation for a plan you both see, including its pictures and guests' replies. Each of you has your own account, and nobody is assumed to be "the" organiser. Seeing an alert never quietly makes it your job. If the other parent has their own home in Tandlo, link your two homes instead, from Family, Other homes: each home keeps its own details for a child, chooses child by child which plans the other sees, and can ask the other to do a pickup. Linking is free for both homes, and either can end it at once.
Tandlo is in early access with a small group of families, starting around our pilot school. Early access is limited to the first 150 signup places across Tandlo. Registration stays open until Tandlo is available in the App Store, or until the places fill, whichever comes first. Existing signups keep their offer. Please use one signup per family.
