How much does Tandlo cost?
Tandlo Free costs £0 and does not expire. The Tandlo Family price is £7.99 a month for one home, including VAT. One Family subscription covers the adults you invite into that home and 250 shared AI uses per family each billing month. Eligible subscribers can try Family free for two weeks. Apple shows the price, trial eligibility and renewal terms before you subscribe.
What is the difference between Tandlo Free and Family?
Free gives one adult a family calendar, plans, tasks, reminders, standard invitations and guest replies. You can link another home and share chosen plans. Free also has a one-time starter allowance of 20 AI uses per family. Family adds 250 AI uses per family each billing month, adults you invite into your home, more supported schools and calendar links, and invitation customisation.
Does my partner need their own subscription?
No. One Family subscription covers the adults you invite into your home, including a partner, grandparent or childminder. They use their own accounts and can see shared plans and notes, read-only; keep a plan private with Just me. Free is for one adult in that home. Linking a separate home and sharing chosen plans is Free.
We are two homes. Do we need two subscriptions?
Each home can use Free. You only both need Family if each home wants ongoing AI help. Linking two homes in Tandlo is free for both, always: each home chooses, child by child, which of its plans the other sees, and either home can ask the other to do a pickup. If the other home wants Tandlo reading its own emails, photos and letters too, it has its own subscription. A child in both homes is never charged for twice.
What counts as an AI use?
One AI use covers a question in Ask Tandlo or help reading a school email, photo or PDF containing text. A long document can use more than one use; Tandlo asks you to confirm first. Receiving a forwarded email or adding a plan yourself does not use the AI allowance. New AI invitation illustrations have a separate allowance.
Is Tandlo a free family calendar app?
Yes. Free is a family calendar plan for one adult in your home and does not expire. Add your own plans and tasks, use phone reminders and the morning brief, and import or export calendar files. Follow 2 supported schools and keep 1 live calendar link up to date. Standard invitation designs, editable wording and guest replies are included. You can also receive and keep approved forwarded emails and shares, link another home and share chosen plans. The 20 starter AI uses are once per family.
Why only two schools on Free?
Free includes 2 supported schools across the whole family, so siblings can follow different schools within that allowance. Family lets you follow more supported schools. What Tandlo can show depends on the information each school publishes; a plan does not guarantee support for every school.
What happens if I stop paying?
You keep everything. Every plan, task, calendar, child and anything Tandlo has already read stays exactly where it is, readable and editable by hand. Limits apply to new things, not to what you already have, so three schools you were following stay followed. Other adults in the house keep seeing it, read only, for at least 60 days, and full access returns the moment a subscription does.
Does Free include AI help?
The Free starter allowance is 20 AI uses per family, once. Use them to try Ask Tandlo or read emails, photos and PDFs containing text. It does not renew each month. Family provides an ongoing AI allowance. Eligible early-access families receive six months of Family free.
Are invitations and custom designs free?
Standard designs, editable invitation wording and private guest reply pages are included in Free. Guests need no app. Family adds colours, photo layouts and custom designs, with 3 new AI illustrations per billing period. The illustration allowance is separate from the AI uses for family admin.
Does my school pay anything?
No. Tandlo reads what your school already publishes; your school does not need to get involved. See Schools for what that means in practice.
